Outside the Classroom Window

On a public holiday, work had led me to a school. The holiday had rendered the school barren of its students and teaching staff.

The sun wasn’t keen on being too bright at that time of the day.

Apart from the limited noise made by the presence of a few human lives on the premises, the rest of school had been claimed by silence.

A silent school… truly a picture out of its usual place on the wall; None the less, sometimes, in silence you can find the most beautiful thought.

As I stepped into a classroom, there awaited my thought in silence. Right outside the classroom window, an empty courtyard, surrounded by trees, bushes and pecan coloured walls of the school… on its three sides; sunlight partially covering its surface.

How long had it been.. from the time, when on a busy school day I would be a part of a similar picture, amongst young budding lives.. with dreams and numerous imagination.. rushing to and fro… awaiting for their wings to be strong enough… to fly away into a distant future and perhaps one day look outside the classroom window.
