What do you think gets better with age?
Our age acts like the invisible milestones in our lives. Every digit that adds on to it marks the amount of time we have spent being who we are on this planet, witnessing what life has to offer with means that are available to us.
Throughout our lives there are an assortment of things that grow with us and in us. The voyage of our lives takes us through the waves of different seas and oceans and many of us develop the strength and courage to brave them all and we keep getting better at it, until our mind and body lasts.
Amongst the diversity of things that we get better at with age, what matters is our understanding of it all. With age we gain a better insight and understanding of the life we are living and the world we are living it in. With time we develop a whole new perspective of things around us; a child who loves to watch flowers later learns to grow them, nurture them, and appreciate their presence better in this world.
We are continuously understanding things to greater depths whether we are aware of it or not, and that’s one of our very unique and beautiful abilities. It has allowed us to find and walk paths which may not be visible with the first or second look but maybe with the third one.
We can never truly grasp the understanding of everything that is known, but in the end what matters is we being able to grasp the understanding of things that make a difference to us, and perhaps make us feel better.
