What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why?
Anuran’s Take:-
Games are a great source of entertainment and recreation no matter which of their variation one involves himself/herself into. There is a game for everyone out there; the assortment of games that are available enable everyone to enjoy them no matter what the age bracket.
Games are primarily associated with children not because they are just for children, but because its children who seem to wholeheartedly enjoy them the most. Some grown people love the feeling of reuniting with their inner child as they play games. Games can bring tremendous joy and happiness to mind and soul of children, and many grown-ups do miss that feeling.
Games also bring with them the fond memories of past, especially to the elderlies who always get that chance to smile fondly as they recall their days of enjoying games with friends, family and the other close people of their lives. It also gives them immense delight whenever they get a chance to play a game which they can enjoy comfortably with their close ones.
It would be hard to deny that games can also be very an effective and efficient educational tool. This approach is being adapted by many as it gives a chance to the children to move beyond the monotonous process of learning, making learning an enjoyable experience.
I have enjoyed multiple games in life, however the form of game I have enjoyed the most are video games. Ever since my parents got me a handheld videogame for the first time, I realised I enjoyed video games the most. I enjoyed and still enjoy playing them, they are an escape for me to another world, for a brief period of time I get to be someone else digitally, with different abilities into a world unknown. As the games have gone through more development, to their current state of being open world, they have become an even more enjoyable escape. Even the games on smartphones have reached great heights of digital interactivity.
However, I have always made sure to keep limit on the amount of time I spend playing video games and also on the influence they have over me. It is very important not let video games become a reason of deteriorating physical, mental health or absence from social life.

Sayoni’s Take :-
Card game again has a historical blend with modern-day society. The first card game I learnt was UNO while travelling via train with my parents in South India. I was about 7- 8 years then and never knew how to play UNO and opposite to our berth there was a woman with a son younger than me who was playing UNO. The long train journey not only helped me to know how to play UNO but also seemed that we have a great bonding. Though UNO was a game which is still being popularly played I hardly had the opportunity to play much as you know it needs a group and I hardly found one. The next card game which I learnt was FISH GAME OF CARDS. But what was the most amazing part? Every week two to three days I used to see my parents play this particular card game after the days work and while playing they pulled each other’s leg, enjoyed it a lot and wanted to continue for many times until the rats inside the stomach used to shout, ”GIVE US SOME FOOD TO EAT.” They enjoy the game. And those times I used to watch them play or read a novel. I grew up and knew desperately that I need to learn this particular game of cards from my parents as it was just not the game it was their moment of sharing and pulling each other’s leg after the day’s work. I learnt and what I learnt was played again and again and sometimes I used to think maybe they are feeling uncomfortable that now three people are playing. But nope they enjoyed it more it seemed. More enthusiasm, more happiness and more leg pulling. So these two have a special place in my heart . Treasured games .
