The Days of Life

Was today typical?

The sound of the alarm broke through the silence the night had maintained. I slowly woke up right back into the life I was living. I found the sunlight waiting behind the curtains. As I pushed the curtains aside and invited the sunlight in, I found the nature had already woken up to the call of the morning. The leaves of the trees moved along the gentle breeze, the birds flew by, some early folks were out enjoying the fresh morning air. I have woken up to this morning experience more times than I can count or remember, but each day it feels new. So, what will this day bring into my life.

A typical day, what could it be? I believe typical is a vague term to describe any day. I have found no two days to be the same. Yes, our every day humanly needs requires us to do certain tasks on repetition every day, but that’s hardly any reason to call a day typical. Every day we wake up with different levels of energy and enthusiasm, a different thought and motivation. Even everyday tasks are done in a slight variation riding upon the waves of how we feel.

What I have deduced is that, a typical day, is mostly inside our minds. Every day is a chance to do something. Yes, many of us are students with studies and classes occupying most of our time or we are working people giving majority of our time to our professions. We are also fulfilling the responsibilities towards our bonds with people. But, don’t we all make up time for things we really want to do, something important or something desirable, maybe a hobby. No matter how short duration of time we find for it, it means a lot.

But again, this is life we are talking about, there is a possibility, the time may not find us or we may not have the energy to reach it, no matter how motivated we were in the beginning of the day and that is how the thought of a typical day is born. A day when our expectations, desires or plannings fail to bloom into reality. However, life continues to move on with its shades and flavours, we might sometimes fail to see it, but there is something different occurring every day in and around our lives…… something beyond the typical.
