What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?
When I started writing, it wasn’t blogs that I used to write. It was about everything else: essays, articles, short stories, sometimes even small poetry. Initially it had just started with my interest in the English subject. Slowly, what was like a good way of scoring marks through my favourite subject also became something of a hobby.
All forms of writing have their impact, I have known a few journalists, my grandfather was one of them. The articles they wrote had such a wide reach, their basic goal was to help information reach to the farthest corners of the country. I have also known some writers who write content for school books, the impact of their writing is on the development of school going children. Likewise there are many others.
One fine day a time arrived when I was rekindled with my hobby of writing after a few years and it was through blogs. The initial idea was to just keep writing because I loved to write and I had greatly underestimated my interest in it. There was no such goal as to create an impact on anyone, create a change. I was just doing what I loved to do and that was all that mattered to me.
One day a person very close to me said she loved to read what I write and I wrote for her like I had written for none, it made her happy, and that was my first realisation that my words had brought a change, an impact, it was bringing smile and happiness to someone even if it was just one person. It meant the world to me and that is how the journey which I had never planned for began. For me, if my writing can even for a second bring a smile or a hint of happiness or a feeling of reconnection or some other form of interest, I will be very happy, and that’s all the change I want to bring right now in this world.
