What would your life be like without music?
Music is one of the most impactful arts out there in the world and the impression a good music leaves on our mind is completely unique in itself.
The first exposure to music in my life was through various prayers that my grandmothers sang every day morning and evening. They had a unparallel sense of positivity which resonated throughout the walls of the house as well as the walls of my mind, heart and soul.
My parents would occasionally hum a song or two as would other people back in the days when the convenience of playing music in a handheld device in form of smartphone was absent. I still believe that particular time period had a charm of its own, almost everyone had a favourite song which they loved to hum or sing endlessly.
My first proper introduction to music was through are a variety of songs and poetry which were taught in school. The purpose was to instil a sense of positivity and the vision of a better life in children. I think it is the first time many children learn proper wordings which they can systematically sing or recite along with a tune.
Music has the ability to influence the environment in a variety of ways, I realised this by watching movies and that’s how I realised there is a tune to everything in life. If there was a healthy way to do it without disturbing anyone and hurting my ears, then I would play music for every moment of my life.
So, a life without music, it is a complex thought in itself because no matter how you think about it, given the attributes of our minds I can say with most surety that there can be no world in which humanity does not mingle with music whether they realise it or not. Even if humans don’t compose it and put a name on it.. it would still exist in the very environment around us and it will continue to have its impact in the world.
