What skill would you like to learn?
The birds had begun to chirp, the cool morning breeze was knocking over the doors and windows…. a new day had begun. Distorted sound of the radio dispersed through the household, it was grandmother, like every morning of her life she had begun her day rotating the tuning knob of the radio, adjusting it to her favourite channel.
Then came the music… old classical songs…. they broke my sleep in the most beautiful manner. The sound of songs through radio may not have been of the quality that we are habitual of hearing today but, it has surely marked its place into the lives of those who have been through its presence. A radio was surely a beloved means of entertainment in people’s lives once. Even today if one ought to hear some old classic song in the slightly unclear and distorting sound of the radio, I doubt he/she would be able to resist the nostalgia.
I have never thought of being a musician, but, I have always felt a connection towards music. My taste in hearing music is ever-growing especially recently where it has taken an unexpected turn with me delving into the world of classical instrumental music.
No matter how much I wish for it, sadly I do not possess the voice to be a decent singer. However, when no one’s around to be disappointed by my poor singing abilities, I hum a tune or two to myself and in my own mind it is a feeling of happiness.
One music-related skill however I would like to revive in my life. When I was small my mother asked me to try my hand at synthesiser, and the way I was moving ahead with the course of learning it, I would have surely reached the destination of making it a lifelong favourite hobby. But, the mind of a young child has all the reasons in the world to be distracted by a world full of millions of things.
But, one fine day for sure I am going to go out there and buy myself a synthesiser and start playing the tunes I love to hear and I am going to take that hobby among a few others to the last few days of my existence.

A confessions: “Did not know what desideratum.” I imagined it to be some kind of a flower before I checked it online.”
So once again let me tell you , you have a knack to write stories…the way you started about music from Grandma tuning the radio and reaching the syntesizer is awesome.
Stay blessed. Keep writing.
