Vision of Respite

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

Holidays, what a joy they are to people young and old. While children and adult get a bit of relief from their every day school, college or professional life, old people are just happy to find their near and dear ones visiting them or just staying with them at home on these days.
So, what do people do on holidays? While some people like me make holidays a mixture of lazing around + household chores + fulfilling family responsibilities + hobbies or failing at the other three completely, many others make wonderful use of it right from the break of the dawn making it a day scheduled just about right time for everything else they don’t get to do the rest of the week. Let’s not forget those who don’t want a holiday at all, they will just work no matter what and no one can explain to them the other side of life.
When I was a small budding student in school, they told us there were cultural, religious and national holidays and believe me there were a lot of them. It just seemed life would always be fun with a lot of holidays. Oh yes, I was smiling when I learnt about this the first time. But life had a different plan, right from going up to higher classes and then higher studies and then professional work, the list just kept getting smaller and smaller and you realise not all days are important enough for holidays in the adult world. Even holidays are not spared from their share of differences in fields of various nature.
Well, to conclude, I think inventing a holiday in the present world is a task next to impossible. It is a world where many holidays are on verge of suffering an identity crisis, I doubt suggestion of another will be taken anything more than a figment of a thought born out buffoonery.
