Change vs Transformation – Ripple Effects of your Persistent Actions



In the corporate world scenario it is very essential to know and perceive what we mean by change and what we mean by transformation and how both these concepts play a significant role in the employee’s life.

According to the dictionary Change is replacement and a complete replacement from the root. On the other hand transformation is the change from within. We transform to become a better understanding person we don’t change. This qualifies the very definition of the concept of Change and transformation.

The difference is important between the two terms because businesses of every size are facing  a once-in-a-generation challenge: how they will survive and thrive in a post COVID-19 world. Gartner’s 2021 CIO Agenda pushes readers to “seize this opportunity for digital business acceleration.”


When do we need a change in the corporate world scenario?

Here are the points to understand the need for change in the corporate scenario and how it influences the employer on a larger scale .

Inappropriate content or work around the work ethics –

Change is needed when the work which we want from our employee Is not delivered within the specific time frame or the person has a laid back attitude which is highly effecting the growth of the person. In each of these kind of situations we can warn the person but if warning doesn’t help we have to change the person. So it is always said skill is an important aspect of any corporate dimension and when chosen on the basis of skill it should be the best .


Change of your work area –

Many times your work area becomes a hardle for your creativity or work effectiveness to flow . In this situation the best thing is if we change the work table or rearrange a bit. Changing the table with more addition to the personal decoration adds more excitement in the work scenerio. This generally happens in home from home set up.


Change the way you work-.

Sometimes when you see the way you are working is not appealing it is not fetching you to get good clients or good projects. What should you do? In these situations may be work tactics which you follow are incorrect. So may be the professionals in the field help you in the best possible way. Your work should always be updated and technically skilled so that it helps not only you but the organisation yo are working with.


What is transformation in the corporate world scenario?


The Business transformation is an umbrella term for making fundamental changes in how a business or organization runs. This includes personnel, processes, and technology. These transformations help organizations compete more effectively, become more efficient, or make a wholesale strategic pivot.


When to allow your work journey to enjoy the transformation you deserve?

Transformation TRANSFORMATION is almost always large and significant. Transformation is an internal fundamental evolution or change from within of your beliefs of why you perform certain actions.

Transformation may or may not require any external influence to maintain, but it does require foundational shifts from within. Just a few examples of transformation include:

Increasing data performance through migration to the cloud
Big Data-driven marketing automation
Sales evolution from retail distribution to a Value-Added-Reseller model

Transformation is fundamental in nature. And when it’s done right, transformation has a permanent and far-reaching impact throughout the organization.


The main thing is that we need to remember our own action and act accordingly towards its needs. Transformation or change  may require both exterior or within oneself. It highly depends on what work we are doing and what the situation demands.

Let us understand the concept of transformation and change with an example –

1 . Microsoft’s addition of a mouse compatible with MS-DOS’s Microsoft Word was a big change for 1983. Apple’s introduction of a graphical interface that used the mouse as an input tool across the entire Mac OS 1.0 just a year later was transformation.


From here we understand the difference between change and transformation and what should be our step in order to adopt in the situation.

As a more recent example, companies’ quick shift to a work-from-home model during COVID-19 pandemic is changed. Slack’s June 2020 announcement that it was permanently moving to a hybrid workforce model that all but eliminates the idea of “headquarters” as the operating heart of the company is transformation.

This is another example of transformation.


Conclusion

Both change and transformation are posing to be great importance after the Covid pandemic since from byju’s to Amazon to Twitter cutting of number of employees are in prime importance to cut off the cost.
