The Avoidable Error

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

In life we come across many people who are living lives of their own. Some of them end up becoming close in the form of friends and some end up meaning even more.

There is an entire way of functioning which goes behind building a good bond and its hardest part which is maintaining the bond and that is where I think I had made a mistake in the past.

I was never much of a people’s person. Ever since school, I had a vibrant world of my own in which reality was blended with imagination and I always had something to do, playing video games, reading books, drawing, writing, watching my favourite anime and movies or simply going around with friends.

When it came to friendships, I would say school times were best. For most part we were honest with each other and held genuine understanding for each other. One of the difficult parts about growing up and settling in your own life is accepting that friends grow apart in more than one way, it might still feel something similar but it is never the same.

In my case, during my school time, as much as I loved spending time with my friends, I loved being on my own living in my own world more and for that I certainly had ignored my friendships up to a certain point where they began to start fading and I didn’t realise until a lot of it had faded without much possibility of coming back to what it used to be.

If there is an action I had not taken but I wish that I had back then, it would be making more effort towards giving more time to the friendships. I have several good friends today but I have lost more than a few along the way here, and maybe it wouldn’t have happened.
