As the evening slowly faded into the night. Anshu walked out to the veranda holding a cup of coffee. It was the top floor of the house, the view in front was of a park accompanied by some houses on the other side and the mostly clear sky above.
Anshu felt it was a good find for rented accommodation and that also at a very reasonable price, something that was almost impossible to find in this area. There was a reason behind the fall of the price. The floor was claimed by several in the neighbourhood as being haunted.
The stories were several, of course death involved but they all revolved around the sightings of a young woman. The owner of the house had no awareness of it but people claimed the owners wanted to keep it a secret for renting purposes. Several previous tenants had reported a certain uneasiness there and the internet is a place for such things to spread wide.
When Anshu found the place online and read the rumour, she knew she would find a good deal here.
There was no supernatural presence here, or if there was, it surely hadn’t bothered Anshu. But once in a while she would walk out in the veranda and wonder if someone saw her standing there late in the evening or at night and that would add further to the rumour or give birth to another story.
