Forget by Anuran Chatterji

Introduction by Sayoni Mahapatra Chatterji

We Often forget things and the logical reason of forgetting is still debatable but it’s our natural proces here a beautiful short write up which is a complete reflection of our own journey towards remembrance and forgetfulness.

What did I forget.. How could I have forgotten it..

Was it something worth forgetting or maybe something I shouldn’t have forgotten ever in the first place.

Was it easier to forget or so easier to remember that I lost track of it.

This forgetfulness.. was it becoming a habit or perhaps a habit which had become a victim to this forgetfulness..

I did forget I know.. but why…a symptom perhaps.. age I hope not.. to the busy world maybe… or the complexities of the society

maybe a notepad contains it or it remains a reminder in the phone… will my beloved know of it…

what in this world did I really forget… It’s eating me up.. what was so edible in me.. was it my fear or my curiosity..

..If only..

Time might tell me of that.. which is unknown to me now or will time just make me feel better about forgetting it…

..or perhaps it’s better to forget that I forgot something… maybe..
