Are you bothered?

What bothers you and why?

We all have an invisible list in our minds of things which bother us. We don’t intentionally create this list, but it just happens to develop on its own over the time we spend in this world just living our lives and interacting with the society that we are a part of. Those things fall out of the area of our interest to the extent where they may seem like an unwanted hurdle into our very existence.

While many of us have control over being not so reactive towards things that bother us, others are not so tolerable and will act at the first whiff of botheration. There are also those who unknowingly segregate what bothers them into the category of tolerable and intolerable.

Then, there is also the matter of time and situation. A thing which might not bother you so much now may bother you more later; a relationship between a couple can be a good example of it, in the initial phase all differences are tolerable but later as time passes some of those differences might become botheration. Another side of it is the extent to which we can tolerate our botheration, on a certain day with fatigue and frustration even little things might seem like a botheration.

I am bothered by quite a few things occasionally. Let me share some of them.-

•the corrupt practices in the society which interrupts the development of society and nation as a whole

•extremities due to political, economical and religious differences among two people or group of people

•the inability of people to accept equal right of other living beings over the planet and its resources

•the never ending conflict in one or more corners of the world

•exploitation of environment and the failure to control climate change

•the world becoming more digital than real

Being bothered doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing and sometimes it’s needed for the right action to be taken as well.

  1. True that, the disregard for the environment is incredible. We would rather make money in the next three months then have a habitable planet in 50 years. I just hope technology can save us!
