History of Akshardham Temple
The word Akshardham’ means the divine abode of God. It is hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Timeless Hindu spiritual messages, vibrant devotional traditions and ancient architecture all are echoed in its art and architecture.
The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6th November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers.

How we visited The Akshardham’temple?
Family get together and reunion ship are the most happening and looking forward even of the year. It brings happiness, love and so much beautiful moments to cherish forever. This time with family we planned to visit the famous Akshardham Temple of Delhi.
I have heard about Akshardham Temple a lot it’s architecture, it’s Indian cultural bends over architecture use of marble, gold, pink stone and various types of stones. But always had the urge to visit this Indian Monument. So this year we planned to visit along the temple!
The temple is marvellous, extraordinary and very beautiful with all architectural design. The temple has white feminine structures at the entire and then both sides have endless greenery, small seating arrangement, corridor kind lake on both sides and thus starts architectural beauty. This can only be explained if you have seen. As you have completed the pathway you reach infront of the grand palace with over 30 staircase, the palace has grand curvings of animals, folktales and lot more.
The never ending beauty
The temple has been divided into 4 parts
Mandir
Abhishek Mandir
Water fall
Light show
All the parts of the temple brings happiness and spiritual prosperity. The connected monuments with lot of folktales is divine.
Prasadam
If you hungry or you are having old people or child who needs meal worry not. The temple has veg meal options with lot menu. Along with juice, tea and coffee and chats. Absolutely beautifully managed and not much crowd as booths are maintained effectively.
How to reach ?
Just reach Akshardham Metro station in the 🔵 blue line of Delhi and the temple is just adjacent to the metro station.
Conclusion
The temple doesn’t provide any pictures online except drone view and statue of swaminarayan Ji. There is no picture of architectural beauty of the temple so it’s a request if you are in India’s capital Delhi kindly visit the temple. Also the temple strictly prohibits usage of phone and other digital gadgets inside it’s premises along with there are prohibited items kindly read Google before reaching. But once you are inside you will be in awe and wonder and honest admiration of India’s architectural beauty.
Hope you are visiting soon:)

Wow, nicely described details.
Did not go to Delhi in recent times.
We did visit the Kolkata’s Akshardham Swaminarayn Temple last year. People say it is much smaller compared to that in Delhi.
Vibrations inside are very pious and strong.
