The Connection

From very childhood prayer was interconnected with me through diffrent person of our family.

Great Maternal grandmother, grandmothers, mother

Grandfathers, dad and others.

Main thing is both male and female of our family instigated prayer in diffrent forms and their ways. But what mattered was their objective was same to heal from within, to find solace and to create the positive attitude in the work arena.

So every morning after waking up from the bed I used to see person 1 to pray God a bit quickly to get started with the days work.. the day’s work always included work along with singing Bhajan or songs for God… As if she found peace while doing so many work together. Later in the evening she arranged for evening prayer with ”jop” and incense sticks. This used to take 45 minutes to an hour. Later post dinner it was her time where she would talk to God by praying to the almighty with her best potential. This used to take 30 minutes to half an hour. For some it was overdoing things with spirituality and for some it was so important as we knew her prayers were very much impactful for the whole house. Everyone.

Again I have seen person 2 to do puja everyday after bathing. Cooking bhog for Radha Krishna. Radha Krishna being our household God. She served the God as if she served the best . She cooked everything that lord gopal known to love to eat. Everyday devoting some time for God was her loving ritual.

Person 3 was not a believer of the presence of almighty strongly but believed in supporting everyone with whatever he has. He never discouraged or got angry while helping grandmother to arrange everything she needed to conduct a puja or having a ”satsang”.

Person 4 in his way of spiritualism thinks that there is god in form of our parents in this planet . So everyday while doing puja he thinks it’s my grandparents both maternal side and paternal side with whom he connects with his own words and then mantras of puja. It seems a very spectacular thing and this is completed with Incense sticks fragrance in the whole house . Also the usual festivities like Saraswati Puja lashmi puja he loved to do by himself. How weird right? One who doesn’t believes in the existence of God but knows all prayers and mantras.

Person 5, she believes in God. Does her namaskar everyday after bathing and being fresh she completes her little prayer with prayer or namaskar what follows is praying to all the ancestors whomever she met and got inspiration from.

Person 6, worships from her within as she believes God stays in our heart within us. She prays God loves God and cries with her prayers but making sure everything is within her softly so that only she and God knows. For her God is happy with small minimal efforts.

Person 7is one who believes God through a human and specifically through lord Ramakrishna. She is a devotee of lord Ramakrishna, sarada devi and Swami Vivekananda. Everyday after bathing her ritual is to pray to them through the concept of jop or taking name of God. It takes one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. With this she prays and reads books and listens to God’s songs being in the old age these are the most important thing which she does when it comes to everyday.

Person 8 Doesn’t believes in the existence of God. Performing in puja or being in the puja very actively is preferable only if it’s too much. Listing to the mind is his choice and that’s how he deals with puja.

Every person is different with joy with prayer and meditation.

It matters what you think what you believe in and what has been your perspective throughout. It matters your personality and your intact thought reflecting.

All the people who have mentioned above are present in reality and thus shows how much we are different from each other.

Stay connected!

  1. Wow, what an array of personalities according to their way of prayer. Very interesting read.
I am a bit curious as it is new for me to read : “our family instigated prayer in different forms” The use of verb “instigate” with prayer…!
