Echoes of a Morning

Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

Gentle narrow streams of water escaped the sprinkler of the watering can, making their way towards the hibiscus plant below. The plant rejoiced with the touch of water, the leaves became greener as the water carried away the dust over them, the red flowers posed for the perfect picture as they decorated themselves with tiny droplets of water.
The watering can was later directed below so that the gentle streams of water could travel further towards the soil where the plant stood. The soil changed its shade to a darker tone as it became soaked with water.

The plants were sufficiently watered. I looked up at the early morning sky and the way the sky looked that day reminded me of a place.

Over the houses and over the roads, across the green fields and the river which came after, there is complex with apartments and one vacant apartment in particular is the place where a part of my heart always remains; from its balcony I had seen a beautiful morning sky which was very similar in appearance.

The train of life has picked up its speed, but I am sure one day I will find the chance to just hop off it and run away to watch another beautiful morning from the balcony of the apartment which contains my childhood.

  1. As usual, your writing is almost like a movie, making the reader not only read the words but also visualise. The story above would not change if this sentence was not there:”The soil changed its shade to a darker tone as it became soaked with water.” Such small details make your story so vivid.
