Solemnize

The clock struck 8pm and it was almost the time for dinner.

It was the time to heat the foods, and starting to do some arrangements for the same. In this cold weather it always feels a extreme heavy task as winter makes us less energetic and lazy.

The woman of the house went straight to the kitchen to prepare for the dinner, the last day of the meal.

While doing so she heard the grand DG BOX sound so loud that even their glass windows were starting to shiver a bit .. it was too much.

Instantly all the 4 members of the family started to close the windows and doors tightly.. as much as sound can be controlled from being entered to the home.

Her husband went upstairs to the roof to check what was all about .. it was the grand wedding which was taking place in the nearest bankquet hall. The sound of too many DG BOX was accompanied by the baraat ceremony… People were dancing on the street and the street was instantly full of broken cracker pieces, few flowers and lot more festival things.

The woman thought a bit is it all the dreams the couple had when they were imagining their own marriage?

Is that all? Sound and just throwing the garbage in the road?

Haven’t they imagined a soft marriage where hearts unite and family stays together. What the need for so much of sound which are extremely irritating.

May be they will remember how their marriage was celebrated few years back but the people those who are part of their family or distant family might forget but they and their parents will remember forever.

Marriage is dream so encouragement should be provided to marry as the couple wants and not the entire family. Sustainable thinking and productive way of working should be encouraged

They discussed and completed the dinner

  1. Nice story with a very valid issue. You have very well described the scene at home, just before the start of ‘winter’ dinner.
I too favour the issue raised : Marriage is dream so encouragement should be provided to marry as the couple wants and not the entire family.
Nicely done Sayoni. I will yet again encourage you to ‘read’ it, if not already doing it, before posting the story on Blog.
You wrote: “The woman of the house went straight to the kitchen to prepare for the dinner, the last day of the meal.” You probably meant to say: last meal of the day!
    🙂
Keep writing, you have improved so much from your initial writings. Not that I am myself an expert in language but sometimes things are obvious and I dare to comment because you people have encouraged me to do so.
    Blessings.
