Immersing

What is your favorite type of weather?

I was standing by the river. It was 5:30 am. The day was slowly beginning with the approaching light in the sky.

It was my last day in this city. I was going back home. I would come back, but not before a whole year. Hence, I was taking my time to breathe in this feeling, to the inner depths of my thoughts and feelings.

I have never been near a river so early in the morning before. The thought of doing so had followed a sudden break in sleep at 4:50 am.

Summer was around the corner, but the spells of passing rains had made the weather very pleasant. The gratifying breeze could cradle anyone to sleep.

The sight of a boatman on a boat produced a silent wish in my mind and maybe my heart. The wish was accompanied by a deep portrait of imagination.

I was sitting in a small fishing boat and my hands held its oar. I moved the oar at slow pace and then I stopped rowing for a while but the boat kept moving.

I wasn’t moving with a purpose in mind or a dream in sight, I was just following my inner feeling.

The journey was endless, the feeling was eternal and life would only continue on deeper into it from here on.

I will carry this moment back with me, because something like this is rare. Far from home, away from my usual life, standing by the river at a time that felt right, a weather that felt pleasant and a life that felt more.
