The pen was kept down and after a few scribbles on the empty white paper … A few more scribbles… And no! It was not coming into the paper the thought….the thought which Rina has gathered since morning and now she wants to put in paper…
She tried and then wrote …” It was a summer afternoon ”….
Oh no …. Each of the children’s stories starts with …once upon a time… Or It was a summer afternoon…
But Rina wanted to start her story with something different…which will help any child or adult to develop a sense of curiosity and then read the story .
Then she started to write a long story about life, love and relationships…
”Every relationship starts with trust and if trust is broken ..it breaks forever. Also if someone is strongly trusted it can never be broken…”
Thus the main character of her story was Sejuti. A girl who was brought in an orphanage… As she grew up in the orphanage.. she made friends in the orphanage..it seemed everyone was different..some remember their story whereas others don’t..some remember their parents whereas others don’t…
Mostly don’t remember as they were extremely young when they were left in the orphanage.
After completion of school and then college every little girl is supposed to work.. employment!
The same goes for Sejuti. She started to work in the corporate sector and while working she met her Mr. Perfect for the wedding purpose.
Each and every person of the Orphanage had the opportunity to decorate their Orphanage… beautifully! Such pomp and show… Every one of the orphanages was so exciting… Someone drew the alpona ..few went for the shopping.. some busy advising the bride … and so much more work!
Sejuti was adorned. She was extremely happy and overjoyed first she was getting married to the man of her dreams secondly this was the first marriage of the orphanage…they were overjoyed!
Sejuti was married to a foreigner named Robertson.
And thus she was married today it has been 14 long years. Settled in a different continent and now she has a daughter too.
Aged 8.
On a fine day it is 2024, Sejuti along with her husband decides to visit her orphanage after 14 long years.
With thought and so much more thoughts Sejuti along with her husband and child booked everything from destinations to travel to the country.
It was emotional. Why?
After so many years they were traveling to that particular country again.
After so many years.
Tears rolled down…
But they knew they would go .. they will visit and they will busk in the air of nostalgia.
It wasn’t easy.
Sejuti has a supportive husband.
She along with her husband and child went to visit the orphanage
And met with her caretaker who was her mother for all the years until her marriage …
Finally she could meet her Mother. May not be her biological mother but more than that.
Tears rolled down from Rina’s cheeks too.
Why?
Whatever Rina wrote today was her own experience she is Sejuti and Sejuti is Rina. Such was her experience.
Rina’s experience.
Rina still remembers how… How her life was not just a life ! It gave her experience and a non-biological mother a supportive husband and her daughter.
Much more than people expect.
