Film Session

“This man in a black jumpsuit ran as fast as he could wearing what were clearly hiking shoes yet somehow, he was running like an athlete; and he was doing it with a heavy machinery inside his bag pack.

He was being chased by some people who from the looks of it were professional hitmen and were certainly not there for a friendly get-together. They wanted to harm this man in some manner to get back the machinery which was theirs in the first place, but the jumpsuit man stole it so that it wasn’t used to destroy many lives on the planet.

But, the most astonishing thing is that, before getting involved in this situation, this black jumpsuit guy had been a family person for years with kids and wife, a perfect family. He wasn’t exercising or playing a sport every day, yet unlike everyone else in that world this guy managed to maintain his muscular body for years.

Next, comes the jumpsuit guy’s fighting skills, you may ask where he got those skills from? Well, in the past, he was a thug in a gang who one day realised he was doing the wrong thing and all of a sudden wanted to have a normal life. But he was probably a super thug, because normal thugs barely have any skills in fighting other than randomly throwing punches and pushing around, but this jumpsuit guy, even after not going through any training in his entire life was able to take on men who were clearly training every single day of their lives for situations like these.

So, not only did this jumpsuit guy take out some of his chasers, he also mortally wounded some of them and then made a perfect escape with some cuts and an injury which required stitches.

Then comes his wife, a perfectly normal person until now. The jumpsuit guy tells her how he was a thug in the past and his past has come to haunt him in the present and how he thought this was a chance at normal life despite hiding weapons in the same house they have been living in for years. Then lastly, he asks her to take the kids and move to a relative’s house for a few days. But she asks her sister to come and take the kids while she decides to make a last stand with her super thug husband who has already left to face these people.

So, there he is, this jumpsuit guy who is once again in a jumpsuit for some reason but this time in a dark grey one instead of black. He is caught in a crossfire which would have killed literally any other person or animal in the world. But he was just stuck, unable to make another move and then his wife arrived. What can she do you ask? Apparently everything, she comes in guns blazing, evades bullets and reaches her husband in a matter of seconds.

Now, this jumpsuit guy who had been pretty much stuck before, becomes worried that his wife might not have what it takes to get out of there alive. But this woman who has lived a perfectly normal life knows it all, she is probably more skilled than this thug from the past and in they go shooting bullets everywhere and men falling like raindrops of heavy rainfall and they end up killing everyone there while receiving minimal injuries. They are not even bothered by the police after such a bloodbath.

Any other family might have been scarred forever by this incident but not them. Their life went back to normal and they were rather living it with a boosted confidence and everything was better than before”

Mr Yogesh Dhankar narrated the story of the movie he had seen that afternoon to his daughter Navi who was confused as to what to reply.

Mr Dhankar has been a farm man and toiling in farm work is something which he has done with love and passion. He loved the village air and people. He had been one of those people who mostly stayed away from television, apart from occasionally viewing the news channel, and the rest of the time he enjoyed playing his harmonica and sometimes he also sang while playing guitar.

Progressing age comes to all and it came knocking at Mr Dhankar’s house as well one day, when he fainted while working in the fields. Now, he has hired help to do various work at the farm and now he also has the time to visit his daughter Navi, who had shifted to the city after marriage.

Navi took it upon herself to introduce Mr Dhankar to watching movies as he relaxed for the day.

“So.. the movie wasn’t even a tiny bit interesting?” asked Navi

Mr Dhankar stared at her, “What is interesting about stupidity? Unlike you city folks, we put a lot of sweat and blood into our work at the farm and then you show me this and expect me to find it interesting?”

Navi laughed, “Well we have found out that maybe action movies are not for you. We will try a different genre next time.”

“I am not sure I would like to keep wasting time like this, give me a book or two”

“You have read a lot of books. How about movies based on books? You may find them interesting”

Mr Dhankar thought about it and replied, “Maybe I can give them a chance.”

Navi smiled as she scrolled through the list of movies, searching for the one her father would like to watch.
