What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

As a kid for us tv was a very essential part as we could watch tv only for a certain period of time and not whenever we wanted. There were no mobile phones and this digital entertainment factor was very limited and restricted and that somehow helped us to be disciplined in life.
Today in this prompt let us share a real story of our times when watching television meant the world to us.
This is 2008 and Liana is in fifth class of her school. Everyday after returning from her school her work was to change her uniform, freshen up and have lunch and while having lunch she used to narrate the school story of that particular day..and trust me it was everything from the morning assembly to the returning school bus journey it was all… Through this it became her daily habit to narrate everything to her mother and due to this her mother was also well informed about the happenings in school..after this it was her own sweet time to sleep for 1 hour to 1.5 hours somedays..
Post that in the evening she was allowed to watch television for 1 to 2 hours. That’s was her time. Liana’s time and during this time she could watch all the animes to cartoons like from Pokemon to Noddy to Oswald to Bob The builder, Tom and Jerry and other regional cartoons like Nonte Fonte, Batool The Great, Hada Bhoda and many more.
These were her favourites. Only her mother’s yell could distract her from watching such beautifully made cartoons ..
Not only that Sundays were solely devoted to sharing all cartoons and anime during the morning hours.
As she grew up she understood how much these cartoons and animes helped her in life. Understanding the creative side of a person is ignited through the cartoons and animes that she watch over time.
Today Liana has grown big but those timeless memories of returning from school taking a power nap and watching a bit of television has helped her to build her character in the most beautiful way …
Cartoons even as an adult she watches and now motivates everyone else to watch that’s how she loved it!
You know what is the best part of watching cartoons?
It transports to a different land of magic, story and realism. It’s getting attracted and cling to your favorite cartoon and dreaming like a far away dream. A few days ago I saw a video clip where a child is continuously moving hands trying to imitate anime characters. Few people were vehemently angry that too much television or watching cartoons and anime have made children like this and there are also people who said at least the child is not addicted to these shows. He is watching for an hour only and rest imitating.
That’s the joy ..it depends on person to person

This most interesting prompt belies age and culture. My life “as a kid” is very different from my cares of now. Except, somehow, historical fiction still thrives in all of it. I watched “cowboy shows” rich with horses and trick riding, stereotypes of people different than those I knew, pretend and staged violence, which my father was sure was damaging my moral sense. Maybe it did. Hop-a-long Cassidy, Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid — how old must one be to know what this is.
