Fasting for 40 years

Hello everyone 🤗 welcome back to our blogging website where as a couple we write our heart out and mindful. After getting a tremendous response in our past writing about 3 mysteries of India I thought of sharing another mystery of India which will definitely catch your attention. But before I start let’s know how our little Apu came to know about this mysterious story of someone..

It was summer afternoon and like every summer afternoon during the summer vacation our little Apu was always with his grandmother. Always… It was like wherever she used to go she would take him and vice versa.. being with her grandmother taught her the skills of like – how to make pickles, how to cut vegetables and how to be polite and friendly with everyone and so much more.. this time of the year he always waits for being together with his grandmother.. 1 month summer vacation always seemed worth it for him.

After returning from summer vacation to school he would always be asked Hey how have you spent the summer vacation.. he used to say you didn’t go for a trip some would say is that all… Nothing more?

But how to make them understand it was so wholesome he learnt so much in the process. So much .. learning and spending quality time with all loved ones and especially grandmother.. this was more than enough for him.. as he is too attached to his grandmother.

That afternoon after lunch he came running to his grandmother.. running.. and said .. which story will you tell me today! Grandmother said : Tell him which story you want to listen to..

Apu said: I .. I know so many stories now.. which one then

Grandmother said : You know stories but you don’t know many real mysteries of India … You know only a few..

Apu said : Okay then tell me a mystery of India which I don’t know yet!

Okay and they agreed …

Grandmother drank some water to moist her throat and lay down on her 100 year old bed and Apu on her left side.. and said let’s start the story but yes after I complete you should sleep by then…

Apu being very smart said… Ohhhh no then how will I listen to the whole story ? I will sleep after listening to the story … Please grandmother pllllleaseeeeeee

Okay then sleep soon after I complete the story.no running and jumping here and there …. Okay?

Okay grandmother!

And the grandmother started with the story ….

Do you know India is a land of amazing mysteries and surprises and so here we have Prahlad Jani – India’s fasting fakir!

But who is Prahlad Jani?

Once upon a time There lived a  sadhu who claims to have fasted without food or water for over 40 years. Can you imagine …?

Grandmother looked at Apu and saw deep eyes and so much excitement he was quietly listening to her and she continued.

But you know in 2010 which is 14 years ago we got to about him as  Jani was part of an extensive study by a team of 35 Indian experts from the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Science, which lasted over 15 days.

While the study was shrouded in mystery with the government deciding not to divulge any details, it was widely publicised that the guru, also known as Mataji, was in good health despite not eating or drinking water and being in isolation for more than ten days.

It was further claimed that he did not urinate or excrete during the duration of the tests.

Can you imagine Apu?

While the veracity of this account is still an open question, it certainly has raised interest among the world’s leading experts.

Apu was stunned to listen to this story he never heard anyone can live for about 75 years without food and water… How is that possible…

Apu asked his grandmother..

Is he still present?

Grandmother replied he died on 26th March 2020 at the age of 90 while meditating.

Apu couldn’t sleep anymore.. he was calm and composed and kept on thinking how could this even happen in the 21st century.. just 4 years ago from now he left this world…

Grandmother is quite old and she dosed off to sleep.. but Apu couldn’t… Kept on thinking

How can this even happen?

How ?

Note This is a real story and not fictional . If you have interest you can google Prahlad Jani to know more about him in detail.

Stay tuned for more!
