How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Within time everything is laid out of our past and as time keeps passing, we add more moments and meaning to it so that one day when we look back, we can feel a certain emotion such as happiness, content, pride etc

We start building our perspective right from the point when we begin to grasp reality in one form or another. Initially a lot of it is imaginary for most of us when we are kids due to the limited exposure and understanding but then as we grow, things change, we change and the world changes as our perspective does.

Many of us when we are well separated from everything that made us a child, like to look back at the fine memories and ponder upon ‘it was the best time of my life’, ‘I wish things were just as good as they were back then’, ‘I want to feel that way again’. But we have grown and changed in numerous ways with everyone having been moulded by the experiences they have been through, with an understanding unique only to them on this planet.

I personally think I am one of those who have tried to hold on to their past for the longest time and I thought maybe this is how I would walk right to the very end of it all for me. But now I know that no matter how much you think you are ready for the world with your understanding, there is just something around the corner waiting to happen that will change you in ways you were never expecting.

The event that changed or had a big influence on my perspective was the death of a close family member. It’s surprising for someone like me, who knows people die and death is an unavoidable reality of life, to have never thought about that the people close to me will die one day too and that is where my connection to past was severed, because someone who was in it was no more in the present.

How did it affect my perspective on life? It made me more practical and more prepared for the world out there. There is a lot that remains to be learned but there is also a lot that has been learnt. Now, I look at the past as a fond memory and accept that nothing out of it will ever return, not even who I used to be at that time.

Sitting down to write something or else everyday in itself has been a significant influence on my life. It has allowed me not only to venture into the deepest corners of some of the most vivid thoughts and opinions that I possess, but it has also made me eager to explore more of the world around me and develop a perspective which is more dynamic in nature.

If life doesn’t stop in its course before time, I am sure there is more I would see which will further contribute to what I see and how I see it and I will continue writing right till the very end, so you who has given your precious time to the words we write, will know it all as I put to words.
