Change is the Only Constant

Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

The house that I once left was no more the same… ” wondered Chetana who is married for 6 years now ..

After she left her home due to marriage.. it was full of her.. her stationery in one side of the cupboard, her favourite books just the way she has arranged..few of her favourite paintings and lots of stationeries..her shoes and her belongings were certainly in a way..when she left…

One year passed by and Our chetana planned to visit her home.. excited and a bit tensed because home is a part..the area of the town ..the oneness and lots of familiarity gave her hope that she will still enjoy the place equally..just like it used to be once…

Being in a long distance or in a different state it’s evident that you have to plan and then come .. managing both household work and professional work.

Both.

Chetana along with her husband came back home 🏠 after 1 year ..after they boarded from the train and came walking towards her house … primarily she was extremely happy to see how everything seemed same ..but ohh no…few or little things have changed like..like the greenery has reduced..few shops have changed to something else..

Like the very popular grocery shop, their place was changed to a doctor’s chamber …

Again, the garments shop from where Chetana has bought lots of dresses during her school and College days was changed to a medicine shop…

After returning she asked her mother all about these shops…changed shops, seemed to change people and so many changes…

Her mother replied that what is changed to you is change for better for someone else..think someone who is so small will always feel that there’s a medicine shop this close to the house.

Change is the only constant beta.. chetana understood and asked where those uncles were then..the garment shop uncle Kumar uncle or the stationary uncle Mr Bose uncle..?

Her mom replied all are ageing now..may be their children are working now and so they are not letting their father to work anymore..just like you don’t let us work anymore..

Maybe they are at home enjoying their time of retirement …

Chetana understood cried a bit..and promised if this is what is making her sad after marriage she will make sure her daughter who is 2 years of age doesn’t have to go through these…

Yes, chetana kept her promise..now it was her daughter’s time to get married and she didn’t allow her to go to her in law’s..their understanding son in law also supported this…it was like their daughter always coming and going..

Just a change in the society’s thoughts and steps

As Chetana ‘s mom always said CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT.

Is this call breaking law?

Maybe not because this just smashes stereotypical thoughts of society.

That’s it for today stay with us to read more short stories.
