How to tackle young children on tough topics?

In child psychology it is said if we understand a child our half battle is our own we are standing victorious but to be victorious to be someone who understands a child it is better to create that ambience and environment with the child. We need to understand the child’s psychology and what the child actually wants. We know that a child loves to play a lot and so playing and learning and learning while playing is the best idea and the child learns in the best possible way. Now let us understand with details how we can tackle with young children their mind and deal with them in tough subjects or topics. If we understand that we will be able to create a jovial happy go lucky relationship with the child and its subjects and topics that it deals with.

Now let us dive into the topics–
Plan ahead–

Please plan ahead, make minute notes, make points. This will help to figure out what you are actually going to say and what does the child wants to reflect. Planning helps in everything and planning ahead helps in various ways.

Using colour pens–

If we use coloured pens and colour chalks then we can make things much more interestings. Colour pens helps to create a psychological effect on the brain of the child colour is very important to learn and understand and evolve in the process.

Using pictures-

Pictures are what a child remembers and having a proper reliable picture helps to understand the subject matter better.

Have a relaxing setting but not too relaxing setting —

If we feel comfortable we understand comfortably and understand in a better way and everything works in the similar way. Seat in a way which is very encouraging for the child to read and understand.

Choose easy key words–

We should choose easy words which will give us an idea what is the thing actually is, what it is all about and how to go forward with it we need to understand these to have a broader and conceptualised framed idea.

Create a rapo–

We should be able to create a comfortable rapo kind of relationship with the child and this will permit growth and develop in the process.
Be technologically smart–
Be smart technologically and smart use things like projectors, television set, audio-visual set up. A good and nice set up of technology helps to bind the teacher and student in a classroom set up.
Make it a point that every student carries a notebook and a pen. This will enhance the experience better. Tell them to use highlighter, sketch, pens and glitter pens which helps to make things clear and perfect.
Break the chapters-
While dealing with tough topics we need to understand that breaking the chapters into small portions and then making understanding to the child is a very interesting factor. Let the child first understand the minute portion then the rest of the chapters.

Relating terms — We can relate terms with the ones that the students know already. Making a continuous chain of thought will help to understand better and understand.

Starting with subjects which are already known to the child–
If we start with those subjects which are already known by the child then things will become easier as well as connected.

Explain in a childlike way–
If we explain a child in a childlike way each and everything the child with understand better because there the child will be able to relate and have a deeper understanding. The child will feel that it is his or hers own voice speaking to him or her in a tone which is very much known and very much known and it generates a sign of triggered understanding combined with connectivity and interests.
Time–
Understand and understand that everything in the world requires time. Time helps us to reach from grass to grace from the point we have never been into to the place where we wanted to be . It is something shining bright, the end result. Now here the point is that if we give time to something then we will definitely get the result. For a child to understand in a better way we need to give time and that will help to have revision and also have practical knowledge. In the maths class also it was continuously said that revise and that can only happen through giving time.
Make the child know that he or she has come to you to learn and is protected–
The child should feel safer and happy when he or she is around you. The child when safe and happy will open up, he or she shares thoughts and aspirations and develops a positive outlook.
Stay focussed–
One needs to understand that if you are focussed then only the child will be focussed and passionate about learning. You need to make the child understand that your time is precious and so you deserve utmost focussed attitude from your student as well. Focussed does not means that the child will not be able to move or speak. No it is not that way rather it will give a healthy space to speak up and have thoughts about and related with the topics being discussed or being talked about.
Stay optimistic and lively–
A child is a teacher’s reflection, teachers thought and teachers exterior mood also which is carried by the child. A child understands in what kind of mood he or she is in and reflects that if you are gloomy, sad and unhappy it will be difficult for you to keep motivation on for teaching and also it will be difficult for you to stay focussed so being in a healthy, good, positive, optimistic mood will help the child a lot to understand and stay focussed.

So, these are the different points that we have discussed and which are helpful for the teacher to carry forward with his or her lessons.
