Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?
At any given moment, when the mind and heart is open to it knowingly or unknowingly, good food and music can change everything. The feeling of existing in that moment is positively lifted into a zone where one finds that feeling of comfort and relaxation, allowing not so attended warm thoughts to come to light.
There are more special dishes than I know or probably end up knowing in my country. They are beautifully spread across the country and whichever state you step in there is one, a recipe passed down through generations, carrying a history of a unique kind.
There was a time when people prepared these dishes and shared them with the entire neighborhood. People became instantly popular for their cooking skills. Thus, these special dishes brought with them moments to rejoice to households.
Today more widespread commercialization of food and apparently people’s lack of time to live beyond professions has taken away a lot of the charm that came with these special dishes being prepared, none the less bought or prepared they still strongly carry the culture and history and there are many households where they are still prepared with the same love.
Holidays do bring the appropriate reason to indulge yourself with a variety of different dishes but in a food loving country like mine, more than holidays it’s about what the heart wants and when it wants it like right now, I am thinking of getting a slice a cake of that cake my mother baked a few days ago.

Your words beautifully capture the magic of food beyond mere sustenance—the way it carries history, evokes memories, and brings hearts together. I love how you described that subtle moment when good food and music lift the spirit, allowing warmth and forgotten thoughts to surface. Your reflections on the tradition of special dishes, passed down through generations, make one truly appreciate the cultural and emotional richness embedded in every recipe.
