The Depth of Questions

What’s a moment that made you question reality?

Of course there are questions. There are questions about everything in the world and have been at some point in time. That is why there is so much information out there. Across time people have questioned their reality and have found an answer similar in nature to others or something completely new. So, we do it all the time, we question reality to affirm or reaffirm our beliefs.

But there is more, a part that further goes into questioning the reality, the confusion, when there is an appealing contradiction to the belief that has been established. One might be going simply well in the course of life and something all of a sudden crash into the wall of beliefs, like all of a sudden seeing a huge burning rock appearing out of sky, falling really fast while you are driving along the coastline in an open roof car, believing nothing could go wrong in this moment.

This moment came for me in high school. High school is the time people are starting to take their future in a more serious tone than before, for average students like me it is usually a wakeup call. It is also among the best times of life with all the energy in the world and a whole lot of time with our minds open than what we will ever have ahead. Friendships have their peak moments in this stage as well.

So, a boy decided to leave the world for good, he was found hanging. It was for most like the first experience of someone passing, then it was someone of our age and the way he had gone. It was the first of the long list of realisations I had about the darkness or weakness of the lives we live and as you grow, you realise how deep the water actually is.
