Life Deserves More

What’s your home decoration style?

I am sure you have been to several events or occasions with quite the number of people around, known, less known, unknown. There must have been talks of several kinds, life, profession, trending news among others. But whether you have observed it or not there is at least one person or more than one, who doesn’t dress for occasion, they will simply put on just anything and arrive. It is called more of a freedom nowadays, but back when it was not called so, that person was me.

This was a time if one told me to wear anything else than my old and comfortable t-shirt and joggers, war would follow. How dare you invade my privacy and tell me what to wear and what not? My parents, they had to sadly face the worst of that phase. But the change didn’t happen because someone told me it should. As I proceeded into my professional career and my creative side grew, alongside grew the wish to dress differently, although one might still find me wearing an old shirt, fading in tone.

Now, why the clothes story? Because it somehow mirrors my mentality regarding other things as well. My view regarding home used to be the same as well, what do we need, decent enough space to live comfortably and things that would support that, why put more thought to it’s.

In life as it happens, if something is your profession or maybe love, it makes you thoughtful, that gives way to the habit of having a thought for other things as well.

If it isn’t obvious, it’s writing that ignited most of my thoughts and it is through writing that I recalled the details within the homes that were homes of my stories. Each home is special, it feels special because that is how it has been decorated over the Time with love and emotions, it grows with us, it stays with us, standing an ever-silent witness to everything that happens within. I could always mention those details in depth, but I am afraid I will end up writing a book no one might read.

The hanging decorations on the wall, the miniature figures made of glass on a corner table, the frames showing photos and paintings and many more such things. Unlike me my father gave it a lot more thought, he marked any idea in newspapers or magazines as he travelled around.

Me, I have ideas, I certainly do now. But the status of time in my life is like my bank account, I always keep wondering where it all went. I am doing my best to push my legs stronger against the ground, in an attempt to stop life for a while so that I can walk out and make it something more beautiful to live in.
